APS Forest Pathology Committee

Tips for incoming members and chairs:
  • Get an e-mail list of committee members from the previous chair, and then create a mailing list in your e-mail to communicate with other committee members.
  • Prepare an agenda for the meeting.
  • Pass along key information to vice-chair, and archive it on the website. Use the website to share info with other committee members. If you have information to post on the website, let Linda Haugen (lhaugen) know @fs.fed.us
  • Responsibilities of committee chairs is posted on the APS website in Section 30 of the APS Manual of Operations (revised 2009) at: http://www.apsnet.org/about/governance/Documents/MOOApproved.pdf

The excerpted section of this webpage is posted here as a docx file: ExcerptOnSubjectMatterCommittees.docx

  • Remember that this is a volunteer organization, and be appreciative of the contributions others are making, even if it is "not the way you would have done it".
